Contractor Compilations
If you are a contractor applying for or renewing a license with the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board, you may be required to submit financial statements accompanied by a CPA compilation report.
A compilation is a service in which a CPA assists in presenting financial information provided by management in the form of financial statements. It is generally less extensive than a review or an audit and does not provide assurance on the financial statements.
At Byrd and Massey, we work with general contractors to help satisfy licensing requirements by preparing:
- A CPA compilation report on firm letterhead
- A balance sheet prepared in accordance with the required reporting basis (such as GAAP or an income-tax basis, when applicable)
- Guidance on the financial information needed to complete the process efficiently
We understand the documentation requirements involved in contractor licensing and can help you navigate the compilation process from start to finish.
Some License Types (Commercial, Residential Builder, Unlimited Home Improvement) require more information to complete the renewal. Information that is missing cannot be uploaded on the online renewal portal. These can be either faxed or emailed to the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board.
